A tiny kitchen for tiny tots!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
In my opinion, this tiny kitchen is a great value for the very low price.
We wanted a wooden kitchen that would fit under our breakfast bar (which we no longer eat at) to save space in our eat-in dining room and allow our daughter to pretend to cook while we were are cooking. I was very surprised at how small this kitchen was once my husband assembled it, but it is JUST RIGHT for our foster daughter. It’s quite small, but so is she. She is one and it’s the PERFECT size for her. She LOVES it! I like that the sink is a bowl but I plan to replace it with a metal one when I find the right size. We bought the accessory pack and I like that the hot mitts are cloth, the pots and pans are stainless steel, the whisk is metal, and the spoon is wooden. Only the measuring spoons are plastic (and I plan to replace those with a metal set like mine, too).
I like the overhead rack with hooks for hanging up all the accessories. That keeps our daughter busy, taking everything *off* the hooks.
The handle for the cold water came off but just needs a better wood glue (we use Gorilla Glue).
By the way, with a little imagination and encouragement, the oven doubles as a dishwasher! When my daughter wanted to “help” me load the real dishwasher, I showed her how to throw all her dishes in the oven, press some buttons and “wash” them, which she does religiously now.
I definitely prefer wooden toys like this one to plastic ones that light up and make noise. Santa once brought our sons a very pricey “deluxe” plastic kitchen when a wooden model sold out (we were “upgraded”), and it had so many bells and whistles that it interfered with their own imaginative play (and tested my ability for replacing batteries and reassembling it every time it fell apart while they were playing with it). And instead of a robotic voice telling my daughter how to pretend over and over again, I like the sound of her banging pots and pans together. After I have had my coffee, that is.
GREAT FOR THE PRICW

THIS KITCHEN DID NEED TO BE MODIFIED. MY DAUGHTER LOVES IT. MANY OF THE PIECES, WHICH WERE ORIGINALLY GLUED IN PLACE, WERE SCREWED IN FROM THE BACK.THE OVEN HANDLE WAS ONE OF THOSE PARTS THAT WE SCREWED IN, AS WELL AS THE HANGING BAR. OVERALL A GOOD PRODUCT. IT IS MORE AFFORDABLE HERE THAN IN OTHER WEBSITES. THE PRICE HERE, MATCHES THE QUALITY OF PRODUCT. COMPARE TO $[...] IN OTHER WEBSITES.
Great quality and lots of fun

My son loves to pretend play and become a chef, so this unit was a great way for him to do so. The unit is well made and not as bulky as many similar units. It’s light enough to move around when needed. He loves being able to open the “oven” and put things in or take things out. Great item!
Great first cooking stove

WE bought this stove for our 2 year old daughter’s birthday. It turned out to be a hit with her. After searching for kitchen on amazon I realized I wanted something that would be portable, inviting to play at and stored pots and pans and other cooking accesories nicely. This does the trick. THe only fault I would put with is is that the magnets that hold the stove door are very strong and in order to open the door you have to use both hands, one to hold the stove and the other to put the door open. I fixed this with a bit of paper taped over the metal part that attract the magnets. This made it easier for my daughter to open. The other small complaints I have is that the dish rack in the back is not glued in and fits kind of loosely into the holes. Glueing this in perminatly would solve the problem but I prefer to leave it the way it was made. Also the sink is a small platic bowl that fits loosly into a cut out hole too. This is not a problem accept that my daughter likes to take it out and throw her toys down to the oven part through the hole. Go figure, a kid. Other than that, It it a lovely kitchen for my daughter and she likes to cook at it.
A great little wooden kitchen for the price

I ordered this for my son who is 3 years old. He loves all things food/grocery shopping/kitchen related and I wanted him to have something to “cook” with. At the same time, I didn’t want a full-sized kitchen type toy.
After reading some of the other negative reviews, I have to say that we didn’t have any troubles with magnets, paint-smells or faulty construction. I did glue the faucet and the rods that support the “pot/spoon rack” permanently into place because I felt it made them more able to deal with the rough play my son can sometimes engage in.
It seems to be a well made wooden toy. It is exactly the size stated in the product description and it is the perfect size to put on a child’s play table.
It’s the perfect small-kitchen toy in that it allows for multi-functional play (wash hands/food, clean dishes, cook on the stove, cook in the oven) and it’s attractive and unisex in design. It doesn’t take up too much space. But most importantly, my son loves to play with it.
For the money, you can’t go wrong. Just don’t expect a full-sized stand-alone type toy. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
Love this wooden cute kitchen

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter, we both love it. it’s great for small spaces. The product came already assembled all we had to do was just to screw the faucet in and put the rack into the predrilled holes. The only draw back is that it needs to be on some sort of stand in order for my daughter to play with it standing up. The pros is it’s very portable. I can take it to anywhere in the house without much effort.
Great small size kitchen for lots of fun

we didn’t want a full size kitchen as we just don’t have the space but I really wanted a wooden kitchen. This was the perfect compromise! great quality and I love it! And my 2 yr old plays with it for hours every day still a month later after getting it. Very minimal assembly too.
Great toy, especially for small home

Toy is perfect for a small home without room for larger kitchen play structures. I gave this to a 2 year old and she loved it.
Great Toy – Weak Glue
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Please understand that this toy is really made for table top applications because it’s only about 10-11″ tall. We put ours on the fireplace hearth and it’s the perfect height for our 18 month old. I agree that they have overly strong magnets on the oven door, but the reason ours is hard to open is because the door needed to be sanded down on one side a little bit. It was rubbing against the sides of the oven when you closed it and made an aweful squeak while doing so. That’s easy to solve. But BECAUSE the door was so hard to open, our son managed to put the whole oven handle off! There are no screws or nails holding it in, just glue, so we fixed that too. He also managed to pop one of the faucet handles off of the threaded pegs they spin on. There again was just glue, but we tapped it back in with a hammer and it seems to be working fine now.
I got this little kitchen from Ross for $25 as opposed to what it’s listed retail for, so I don’t know if this particular one was a factory second or what. It’s still a great little kitchen and I love that it’s made out of real, good quality, wood… just requires a few handyman adjustments to make everything stay in place. One also might note that the paint on the faucet and handles is bad to rub off on the bare, unfinished wood of the “counter top” they sit on… don’t know what to suggest for that other than maybe a spraycoat of polyurethane on all the parts prior to the kids playing with it. I also feel I should mention, to anyone worried about those metal hooks on the overhead bar, they don’t come off the bar… not a choking hazard.

It was purchased for my grandson. He has really enjoyed it. It is great for a small home and very durable. I also purchased a small version for my other grandson and he also has enjoyed it very much.
