great for my 5 year old
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered this bc it is much bigger than most play kitchens and I got it for my 5 year old who is average to tall for her age. It’s a perfect fit for her, and even my 1.5 yr old plays with it. They love it and have gotten a lot of use out of it. We’ve had it since Christmas and have not had any problems. It did take a while for my husband to put together, but it wasn’t difficult, just a lot of pieces and screws.
Nice product

I was expecting a few days to a week for this kitchen to ship, but it came in 2 days. It was a little dinged up from handling, but nothing the kids worried about. It did take a while to put together by 2 meticulous engineers, but the kids are thrilled. Great storage area for all the food & pans the kids have collected.
Great buy!!!
It’s very sturdy and just plain fun to play with. Worth every penny!

Great Kitchen

There were some problems with the kitchen but the seller took care of it right away. I would buy from them again without any reservations. A very good little kitchen my 3 yr old granddaughter loves it. Kidkraft also stands behind their products. A little more expensive but worth it.

The Kidcraft Large Kitchen is of outstanding quality. My four year old daughter won’t stop playing with the set. But, the company Kidcraft is the best toy company I have ever dealt with. There customer service is A++ when dealing with the consumer. Kidcraft’s staff was so accomodating when FedEx completely destroyed the box upon delivery and I needed new parts. Great job Kidkraft!!

Very Pleased!

Very nice product. I wanted this for my daughter who was just turning 5. She had pretty much outgrown her existing kitchen and I was looking for something a little larger and a little nicer looking than the current toddler-sized plastic Fisher Price kitchen we had. This was perfect. All the doors open and close so there’s tons of storage and it really looks attractive with it’s pastel colors and the wood construction. Building it does take a while (it took 2 of us 3 hours one night) because there are a lot of parts and pieces to assemble. However, it’s not difficult to build and we found that everything fit together and aligned very well.
Most importantly – My daughter loves it!

Our Kidcraft Kitchen Set is a year old. My daughter received it for her second birthday and after a few months of gentle play, the refrigerator door fell off. We continue to use it, but the particle board where the top of the door attached previously broke off, so the door falls off pretty much whenever anyone touches it. We’ve spent the last year trying to rig the door back on, but have been unsuccessful.
Aside from the door, we have been pretty pleased. We have playgroups at our house several times a month and despite a room full of toys, all the kids flock to our doorless kitchen. It’s a taller unit than many others, so it works well for our tall daughter. The sink and stove height are perfect for her – she doesn’t have to stoop down to play. I also like that the stove and sink area give her enough “work space” to prepare her food. The color scheme is nice – not too bright or tacky. It blends in with the rest of our playroom. Kids love playing with the oven knobs. The hands of the clock on the side actually move, but my daughter hasn’t noticed them yet. The phone and notepad on the side are stickers and therefore, nonfunctional.
In addition to attaching the door more securely, the only other suggestion I would make to the manufacturers is to put more shelves in the refrigerator/cabinet door. There is only one shelf halfway up. We keep our plastic food in baskets and place them on the shelves, but haven’t found very many deep baskets to hold all of our food, so with our shallow baskets, a lot of space is wasted.
The kitchen set was easy to assemble. It took my husband and father less than an hour.

This made a huge impression Christmas morning, and it has been non-stop fun ever since. It is also an excellent way to store your pretend food and play shopping bags. My daughter is now 7, and I wasn’t going to buy her a kitchen, fearing she was too old for it. But she always wanted one, and I was pregnant with a baby girl, so decided one way or another it would be used. I am so happy I got this. It is a big hit, and will be used for many years. It does take a long time, and lots of patience, to put together. You MUST follow the directions or you will be very frustrated. I had to put this together mostly because my husband lost patience. I actually enjoyed putting it together, although being 8 months pregnant it was difficult staying up to the wee hours of the morning on Christmas Eve with this. My only complaint is that one of the door hinges came off within just a few weeks, and it took some fiddling to get it fixed right. Still, totally worth the money.
Our 4 year old loves it!!

We decided to by this for our 4 year old for her birthday after researching all the play kitchens on the market today. We decided on this one because it is the biggest kitchen available and gives her plenty of time to play with it before out growing it. We also picked this kitchen because it had everything she requested, a refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink with cool faucet and handles, oven and cabinets. The only thing it didn’t have was a dishwasher. We also loved that the burners are raised and she loves the colors of it. I have no complaints on this kitchen the quality is great and the instructions on putting it together was very detailed, color coated and easy. If you decide on this kitchen your child will love it.
after MUCH research — love this kitchen!

I am one who completely obsesses over purchases before making them – I started looking at kitchens for my little girl in june and i finally ordered this one last week. It came 2 days after i ordered it – yahoo! Although i was missing one part, i was still able to put the kitchen together and customer service said the missing part was on its way.
Yes, it does take a great deal of time to put together BUT there is nothing hard about it. I only used a little electric screwdriver and the tool that came with the kitchen. It took me almost 3 hours, BUT i was working alone AND my little girl (almost 2 yrs old) was ‘helping’ me the whole time! It was a joy, however, to get it put together and to watch her begin to play. The assembly time was not a negative feature in my book – I’m proud to have a fine quality item for my child and future children to play with.
The kitchen is in my kitchen, so my little girl cooks while i cook. I feel that we have already gotten our $[...] worth out of it in even the short time that we’ve had it b/c she has SO much fun playing with it. At the end of EVERY meal now she says “all done eating….cook in kitchen…play” and she’s down playing with her kitchen.
The size is great – not too big, not too small. The colors are VERY pleasant – not bright, yet not too pastel (i mean, the colors are pastel, but not baby colors). I love that it has the raised burners on the stove instead of the flat burners. The kithcen faucet is very cute and realistic and there is PLENTY of storage/play room. I love that there are no noises from the buttons – such a great opportunity for learning and imaginative play.
If i were to list a negative feature it would be these: the ‘telephone’ is not one that kids can hold – it’s just painted onto the side of the fridge and the water dispenser on the fridge is just painted on also. I wish these two features were more realistic.
However, we are thrilled with our purchase and would buy it again if I had it to do all over again.
