Value for money and great fun for kids. Must buy!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
It took about a couple of hours to assemble by myself and required quite a bit of muscle power to screw in the countertop and the top unit onto the base unit. But it was very straightforward and all parts were there along with extra screws. It looks every bit as nice as I thought it would and my kids screamed with delight on seeing it. My eight year old appreciates the fine details while my two year old tests its durability every way possible. All in all I would definitely recommend it to a friend. Its value for money and my kids have a blast playing with their toy kitchen.
so-so play kitchen
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My daughter is 26 months old and we have had this play kitchen for 8 months. It is durable and is a good size – fits perfectly for our measurements (partly why we chose this one). My daughter and friends of various ages play with this, but has not captured anyone’s attention for very long yet. My main complaint is that, although I am happy it is not obnoxiously colored, it is a bit drab and “sophisticated” for young kids – the counter is a hunter green, the dishes are a cream color, with greyish lids, and the cooking tools are yellow. I have supplemented this with colorful dishes and pans I had from my older daughter, and they get played with preferentially over the drab dishes.
The nice thing is that it can be moved around easily, it is not too heavy, does not fall apart, and fits in many places – I will sometimes move it into the kitchen from the playroom so that her interest is renewed while I am cooking, and it is not in the way. My daughter also likes the buttons for the microwave and oven, and thinks the sound and lights on the stovetop are pretty amusing for a few minutes.
Great little kitchen

I bought this for my granddaughter, but all three of the kids (2 of them are boys) really enjoy playing with it. It was well worth the money.
Fun, Fun and more Fun

I bought this for my two year old son and he loves it. He loves that the stove really makes noise and so does the microwave, oven and phone. This kitchen is perfect in size too. I put it together myself in about 45 min.. an hour tops. We have lots of fun pretending to cook meals and play. I’d say this is a good buy. Moms, you’ll love it… fun for us too!
Good buy!

The lifestyle dream kitchen we bought for our 3 year old daughter came in a huge box and took about 1 hour to put together. Not too hard, all the pieces fit well together and the kitchen is sturdy once put together. The height is perfect for a 2-3 year old. Overall a good buy.
My son loves it! Easy to put together!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This toy seemed, at first, overwhelmingly hard to put together. But once, with the help of someone else, we got started, it was easy. It went together smoothly and looks great. My 2 year old son loves it! He’s fascinated with all the little buttons and drawers. I feel that it was a good purchase and it will keep him busy for a long time.
The only concern I would be about it tipping over. If you don’t have a wall to put it up against or a hard floor for it to stand on, it seems like it would be easy to tip over. And my son being the average 2 y/o boy he is will find a way to knock it down. I would be concerned about it falling on him if it wasn’t placed against a wall in our living room.
Looked at a lot – other parents love our kitchen too

There were fancy wooden ones (pink and pastel, not great when one of our two year olds is a boy) and bigger ones, but this works well for 2 or three young kids to play at the same time. Helps to put it together when the kids are sleeping. The sizzling stovetop and light and microwave are fun subtle electronic additions that do not overpower the toy – it is 95% imagination-driven. We keep ours just outside our kitchen – the colors work with many rooms. LOTS of storage and drawers to open and stuff with all kinds of things; although, if we are missing a sippy cup, it is one of the first places we look… worth the money.
Soups on!

My now 23 month old got this as a Christmas present this last Christmas and has really enjoyed it! She like’s to “wash dishes” in the sink. I think she’s a little to young yet to really get into all of the make-believe play she could use this kitchen for, but she enjoys it none the less. It was fairly easy to put together, only took my husband about 45 min. We opted to not put batteries into anything (which we have NOT regretted!) Plus, if you put batteries into all the things that take them (which is a lot, buy plenty of batteries if you want sounds!) I think it would be a little bit of a pain to take things apart to change the batteries. It has held up well to my toddler banging and smashing things onto it. We’re looking forward to several years of play with this kitchen!
Great Kitchen Set

I rarely write reviews, but this kitchen set warrants one. It’s is great. I went looking for a set 2 years ago for my daughter’s 2nd Christmas and this one received great reviews. I’m happy to report that she loved it and played (and still plays) with it regularly. Now, my 1 year old has also taken an interest in it and they both have a blast cooking their food while I prepare dinner.
I received the recommendation from friends that the best place to locate this is in the kitchen near you if you can. We have always had it there (or at least close by) and it gets a ton of use! Both girls love it, and it is a hit with all of the kids that come to our house for parties and play dates. I would highly recommend.
A good balance between size and variety.

We purchased this kitchen for my daughter’s third birthday. She loves it! Every day now she prepares us wonderful foods such as strawberry cake and boiled pizza! The kitchen fits into a fairly compact area, but includes a lot of different features – there’s everything you’d find in a real kitchen except maybe a dishwasher. It’s attractive, the plastic that it is made out of is very solid and stands up well to everyday use, as well as all-out invasions of friends and cousins. Two or three children can easily use this kitchen at a time. It looks nice, and has a TON of storage space for food and dishes. The sound effects are fun, loud enough, but do not last long enough to become annoying. One of my daughter’s favorite features is the over the sink light – which has an automatic shutoff, Mom and Dad!
With a power screwdriver, it was very easy to set up by myself (I had to get creative at one point to hold some pieces together) in about an hour, although it may have taken me longer as I was watching TV at the time so it may take less time for most. The directions are easy to follow, and you never have to worry which screw to use where as they are printed, to scale, on the directions when you need to use them – just hold the screws up to the page.
There are only a couple of drawbacks to the kitchen. First, there aren’t many accessories that come with this. The food items are good quality, but there aren’t many. There are plenty of pots and pans, the other dishes are a bit sparse (2 place settings only). The kitchen is so much fun, however, that this is forgivable. Less forgivable however was the fact that the kitchen arrived without the bag containing the instructions for assembly, decals, and decorative back plate. Apparently missing parts are not an altogether rare ocurrance with Step 2 products. The instructions were available online, so I was able to put the kitchen together in time for my daughter’s birthday, but it did not look very nice without the decals. To Step 2′s credit, it took just a very brief and cordial phone call for them to send out the missing items. While they did not arrive in time for my daughter’s birthday, they did come in less than a week, and at their expense.
Had it not been for the missing items, it would easily be a five star toy!
