Three green gators in a blue pool are the centerpieces of the toy, and each of the four wheels features a multicolored fish that appears to be swimming as the wheels turn. A wooden handle extends from the back of the base and includes colorful details of cattails and butterflies on its supports. Butterfly and ladybug beads attached to the supports are fun for little hands to slide and spin. Designed to Encourage Movement and Discovery The toy's design helps teach motor skills as well as basic cause and effect. With each step your child takes, the alligators take turns opening and closing their mouths with a gentle clacking noise. The alligators' noise and animation encourages movement and development of gross motor skills, while spinnable, slidable beads on the handle supports help improve fine motor skills. In addition, the toy promotes agility, balance, and exercise. The handle is simple to grab and hold, so your little one can steer the push toy in straight lines or along wandering paths. Non-skid wheels let your child walk along smooth surfaces without moving too fast or leaving any unsightly marks on your floor. The wheels also allow your waddler to move forward and backward without veering off course or getting stuck. Durable, Dependable Handcrafted Construction The Chomp & Clack Alligator Push Toy is handcrafted and hand sanded from select hardwood and made with nontoxic dyes and paints. Measuring 15 by 11-3/4 by 15 inches (H x W x D), the toy is wide and weighty enough to give wobbly babies the support they need to fearlessly take their first steps. Tiny hands can easily grasp the raised handlebar. The push toy requires adult assembly, which is simple to do with only a Phillips-head screwdriver. While our testers were pleased by the overall construction of the toy, they did note that the three cutouts in which the alligators move are a little rough at the edges. This was not an issue during testing, but parents should keep an eye out for possible splinters. excellent, well-made walker
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is great, well-made or wood, with a variable tension rate on the wheels for those unsteady toddlers who need a slower speed. This was so much better than than plastic toys at the local big-box toy store. Just be careful your toddler doesn’t try to stand on the front, he or she will tip over.
This is such a well made toy; more Plan toys are in our daughter’s future
tipsy

Although well-made etc. I would not recommend this as a walker for infants in the early stages of walking–it’s not weighted in the front so when my daughter would try to pull herself up while holding onto the handle or if she put any type of forward weight down on the handle it always tipped, sending her back down to the ground.
Now she’s 15 months and walking and is still not interested in, maybe down the road she’ll like to push stuff around in it. It comes with a set of blocks and they have been a hit. I would still recommend this product even though my daughter has not taken a shine to it, it’s high-quality and durable, just not as a walker.
Beautifully made toy

My son is too young now to appreciate this toy, but he will soon I think. He can’t walk yet, but he enjoys biting the wooden blocks. When he is older and can build things I think this toy will be even a bigger hit. Overall, it’s a really well made toy, simple, sturdy, clean design.
Just what the doctor ordered

At my son’s nine-month well-baby visit the pediatrician recommended getting some sort of walker/push toy for our son because he was doing such a good job walking while holding one or both of an adult’s hands. After doing a bunch of research into the different options I decided on the Plan Toy Baby Walker with blocks because it seemed well made, had adjustable wheel resistance for new walkers, didn’t make noise, and was way cheaper than the wood walker-wagon options.
It arrived yesterday and when I got home from work we tried it out both in our home and on our dirt driveway. My son loved it! The wheel resistance adjustment was great because I could slow it down a little when used on our slick wood floors, but reduce the resistance when used on the slightly uneven terrain of our dirt drive. The walker is heavy and sturdy enough that he can’t topple it too easily. It may not be stable enough for him to pull himself up, but since he hasn’t figured that out yet, I’m not sure.
The only issue I have with it is that when it is set for less resistance there is a little knob in back that sticks out far enough that his foot gets caught every once in a while. We can easily replace the length of threaded rod with something shorter if it becomes a problem.
great product

This is such a cute and classic walker. My son only used it a few times as a walker itself, but thats ok, he was and is very much into the classic wooden blocks. He uses the handle to hold on as he moves about. But I really love the blocks and so does my son.
Great Walker

It took my 10 month old son all of 5 minutes to start using this walker and since we got it, he just can’t leave it alone! Because we don’t have carpeted floors, the fact that you can tighten the wheels up really makes this walker ideal for our house. He has yet to do anything with the blocks beyond putting them in his mouth but once he gets a bit older, I’m sure that he’ll enjoy using them as well!
great if you have a lot of space

great toy. very durable. only goes straight which is a little frustrating for our daughter because we have to follow her and turn it. I am guessing because of this it would be better for a bigger house. Nice blocks if you need them. Not enough space on the walker to put much else. overall for the price (compared to other walkers i think it is pretty decent).
Excellent baby walker

I read many reviews before buying this walker. My daughter was 10 months old when I got it for her. She loves it very much. It can adjust to two different heights and you can easily adjust the speed of the wheels so that it can push slow or faster. My little one pulls up with no problem, it is very stable!!! Not like those cheap plastic ones, that fall over easy. It is worth every penny. I love it.
Too Lightweight – Get the Radio Flyer Walker Wagon Instead.

We got this for my 11 month-old daughter for Easter. She was already pulling up and cruising at the time, so we thought it was time for a walker. I love Plan Toys, so I jumped for this. Well, it ended up being a very bad idea. As much as this toy is adorable and all the things you’re used to getting from Plan Toys, it is NOT a walker. Walkers are for babies who still need a little help walking. This thing feels like it weighs about 1 lb. Not only did it fall over constantly when she tried pulling up on it – we also had the experience of it toppling sideways if she tried to turn it. I know it’s meant for walking in a straight line, but any kid will try to turn it. She is not a heavy baby (6th percentile in weight) or an exceptionally strong baby, so that was just unacceptable. The only thing we let her use were the blocks that came with it (which are excellent) and we ended up returning it and buying the Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon instead. Much heavier, sturdier, and has a bumper on the front so they don’t ruin your walls and furniture while walking. We have had no problems with the new product.
I gave this product 2 stars only because I think it would be fun for a child who is already walking and running very well on their own and who wouldn’t fall over when the product topples on turns. Also, the blocks were excellent quality, so I bought a set separately.
Not very helpful for learning to walk
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
We borrowed this from a neighbor to help our son learn to walk but it’s so tipsy that it’s pretty worthless as a walker. There’s no way my little guy could use this to pull himself up – when he grabs the handles from a sitting position, the thing just topples over.
