Returned broken one for another lemon
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
We were really excited about this toy for our kids and the first one we received arrived broken – the keys did not work. We returned it (very easy to do via Amazon) and received the new one in a short time. This one worked for about 3-4 days and then the same thing happened, the keys stopped functioning. I agree with the other reviewers that the drawer does open with a bit too much force and even that mechanism was not working 100% well. The drawer open key would stick. So we were not willing to buy a third and just got a refund. Very disappointing.
Great Purchase

The price for this cash register was more than I wanted to pay but my daughter really wanted a cash register for her birthday and I didn’t have time to shop around. This has been a great purchase. The quality is really good. It’s nice and sturdy and the money that comes with the register is realistic, making it easier to teach children the difference between the denominations. So often toy money is so unrealistic you can’t use it for teaching purposes. My daughter plays with this almost everyday and has great fun imagining that she is a cashier. I would definitely re-purchase this particular cash register if I needed to buy one as a gift. A nice thing for parents is that everything it comes with stores right in the money drawer so there is not a mess laying around and it’s easy to keep everything together.
Good play cash register

My kids have enjoyed playing with it for two years. While the money (of course) is lost/shredded, the cash register itself is in great working order.
Simple, Silly, Used Frequently
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She is 11 and she uses it a lot. I thought it would go the way of most gifts, out of the box and into the closet, or the floor, or under the bed, never to be touched again except to move it to some other hiding place. I would have to say that the reception of this toy will be greeted with enthusiasm equal the the imagination of the recipient, in the case of our daughter, this was an A-list gift.
Best Christmas gift this year

I bought this as a last minute Christmas gift for my 10 yo daughter after I realized she was not getting anything on her 3 item wish list she had given me. (The other 2 items were a golf cart and a computer). She kept saying she wanted a cash register, but I thought she was too old for this. Reluctantly, I decided to get it for her and thank goodness I did. It has been the best present ever. She and her friends play with it non-stop. They play “Store” and ” Restaurant”. She even plays with her little brother! It’s provided a lot of fun and learning for everyone.

A gift for Serenity, age 3, the Pretend and Play Calculator Cash
Register was a big hit with all the kids at our Christmas party. It
appears to be a very durable, educational toy.
Fun with Math & Money
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I got this register for my 4 year old last year at Christmas. The paper money didn’t last long as it was folded, wadded, and packed into her purses and wallets. The coins also have wandering tendencies. This calculator has helped as she started kindergarten and wants to play with numbers.
The register is very durable. The drawer pops out VERY fast and will spill the coins out all over if you aren’t sitting in front of the drawer to slow it down.
It’s still a hit and I think that makes it a winner in my house.
Great toy for pretend play
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a perfect cash register with a real working calculator for young children. I also saw several being used at our local children’s museum in the pretend “grocery store” section–so it’s definitely durable!
The Best

This is the Best Education toy to have, especially for kindergarten and up. So much learning to count money and change; and use a calculator.
A Great Gift!
Excellent toy

Purchased for my 2 1/2 yr old daughter – best $35 I ever spent! She plays “store” all day long with it. Only design flaw is that the cash drawer shoots out at a mile a minute, spilling the change. But she’s learned to hold it with her hand and all’s well. Highly recommended.
