First, the other reviews are correct, you can get this for ~$15 at any local toy store.
Now the product. In concept, this toy is brilliant. No batteries, very simple, just about any kid will love it. However, the execution is not the best. If you put more than one of the same colored coin in the top, it will basically jam because there is only room for one coin in each slot. Also, when the coins are dropped in the drawer, they sit in the back of the drawer and are hard to reach and almost impossible to see.
I decided to take mine back to the store after one day of my 20 month old getting very frustrated.
Fun toy

When looking for a gift for my 2 year old, I ran across the FP Cash Register. I recalled how much I loved mine as a child, and my 2 year old seems to like his just as much. It has a couple minor issues, but it is a fantastic toy overall. The coins get stuck if too many are used, and it only comes with six coins. Storing the coins in the drawer is perfect. I definitely recommend this toy.
Is this the correct price?

I work with toddlers. The children seem to enjoy this toy and it stands up to toddler use. There are many concepts one can teach while using it. I wish I could get a few more pieces of money. I’ve lost some already!
A classic toy back on the shelves

I was so happy to see this classic toy when I was searching Amazon today. I had this same cash register when I was a kid, and now my sons (ages 3-8) all play with it too when we go to Grandma’s house. There’s nothing complex, just simple entertainment that lasts longer than you think and never seems to get old. Certain colored plastic “coins” only fit in certain holes and a couple other buttons make the coins roll out the side or drop into the cash drawer. It’s as easy as that. Sounds silly and maybe too simple for kids today but I tell ya….my boys and their cousins still play with it. Definitely a good buy for a 2-3 year old, but older siblings will play with it too!
Don’t pay this much

This is currently listed here as being $40.99 but its only $14.99 at toys r us retail and online. The toy is great but don’t pay this much. Hopefully the price will get updated.
