I had this same cash register when I was a kid, and now my sons (ages 3-8) all play with it too when we go to Grandma's house. There's nothing complex, just simple entertainment that lasts longer than you think and never seems to get old. Certain colored plastic "coins" only fit in certain holes and a couple other buttons make the coins roll out the side or drop into the cash drawer. It's as easy as that. Sounds silly and maybe too simple for kids today but I tell ya....my boys and their cousins still play with it. Definitely a good buy for a 2-3 year old, but older siblings will play with it too! A classic toy back on the shelves
