5 Stars Great educational toy
this game requires a person to plan ahead, think strategically, and improve spacial and geographical relations. My daughter started playing it at age 7. she loves to play with it by herself and with others. the only downside is that there are a lot of pieces but that wouldn’t stop me from purchasing it again.
5 Stars YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME!!
Educational without seeming to be. Fun for LOTS if not all ages. Smart logic people look out! You will become addicted to this game. I can see why this game has won awards.
5 Stars Great Game
I love this game. Some friends introduced it to my husband and I and we loved it so much, we had to buy our own. Every since then, we have brought the game to every party we go to and have introduced it to the students in my 7th grade classroom. Everyone who has tried it loves it. It’s always slow in the beginning when you are first learning how the games work, but every game after wards gets more and more exciting.

4 Stars Scrabble Slam
We searched all oer town for this product and couldn’t find it anywhere in Modesto, Ca We ordered it online and received it promptly and in great condition (new). It ended up costing us aroun $15 shipping included. When I flew out to Dallas to see my daughter, I found the same product for around $5. Oh well.
4 Stars Great for a rainy day
The previous reviewer summed up the game well. However, it’s important to note that the game is played by all players SIMULTANEOUSLY – which does get the pace picked up quite a bit. You have to be pretty quick in “slamming” a card down to create your new word while the other players are all trying to do the same thing. Thus the four-letter word is ever-changing. I saw the commercial for this game on TV and being from a family that loves games about to head out on a family vacation, went to Target where I saw it for about $5. We played it with four adults, three adults and two adults and during each of those scenarios, had a blast. It was fun trying to stump each other with rare four-letter words. My mom has recommended it to several of her friends who have grandchildren. It’s a great game for kids learning to spell and to challenge their word skills. Warning: After several rounds of this game, you’ll find yourself on the lookout for four-letter words all the time!
2 Stars A reasonable card game but not great.
I have no idea why the Amazon price is so out of line with reality on this product. I bought this game at Target for less than $5.00.
It is fun to play and stimulates your brain somewhat, but not to the extent of the original Scrabble game. You can modify the rules and play it with younger players (we play it with our four year old).
Amazon also lists a bunch of choking hazard warnings with this product. Unless your kid can swallow a playing card there is no choking hazard that I can find.
It is worth $5.00 but not $16.00.

5 Stars never ending fun
What’s more fun than playing settlers with 4 people? Playing it with 5 to 6 people!
5 Stars Great game for the whole family!
The expansion retains all of the fun goodness of the game but now expands it so EVERYONE can play! What fun!
I can’t say anything bad. If you like the game, you’ll like the expansion. Period.
5 Stars He LOVED it.
My grandson was delighted to have the extension package for Settlers of Catan. He has played the game, but only with 3 other people and there are always more who want to play. This was his favorite birthday present.

The Settlers of Catan

One of the most successful games of all time, Settlers of Catan is a trading and building game set in the mythical world of Catan. Players roll dice to determine which resources are generated each round and then must strategically trade those resources with other players to get what they need to build their settlements, cities, and roads. With multiple ways to gain victory points and a board that changes in every play, Settlers of Catan is a game that can be played hundreds of different ways. The base of a hugely successful franchise, with multiple engaging expansions, Settlers is the core game of many collections, and is a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends. For 3 to 4 players.

5 Stars Addicting!
I bought this game on a recommendation from a game shop. They commented when I was leaving, “I’d tell you to have fun, but it’s SETTERLERS OF CATAN…”
I have to kids 9 and 13. We play it every weekend and sometimes during the weeknights. It is very addicting. It is educational and teaches kids the idea of trade.
Great Game!
5 Stars Best board game I’ve ever played!
This game is fantastic, it has provided countless hours of play for our family. We purchased it as a Christmas gift and the kids played almost non-stop for the entire holiday season…in fact, there was usually a line to get into the next game. If you have more than 4 people that want to play, tandems work very well. This can be especially helpful for younger kids that don’t quite understand strategies as well. When we played, kids and adults of all ages joined in and had a blast. We went ahead and immediately bought the 5-6 player extension so more people could play.
Each setup is totally unique, which makes each game totally unique. Strategy (and some luck) is required in order to be successful, but there are a number of strategies that can used to win the game. The corners of some of the cardboard pieces are starting to show a bit of wear, but it should be able to hold up for quite a bit longer. I highly recommend this game – you will not be disappointed!
2 Stars flimsy
I found the board pieces very flimsy and of poor quality material for the price. The hexagonal pieces kept sliding under the framework! This made the initial set-up very time-consuming. Then the rules of play were not as “simple” and clear as the gamemaker led one to believe. There are far too many little pieces that if you loose a few you probably can’t play this game!! Perhaps after you struggle through it a few times and have plenty of time, it might be as good as it’s rated.
